Cassantec is an independent provider of next-generation predictive offerings for industrial equipment condition monitoring, malfunction risk analysis, remaining lifetime estimation and optimal outage scheduling. Founded and incorporated in Switzerland in 2007, we are a privately owned company with strong ties to established players in the field of Predictive Maintenance (PdM), including condition monitoring technology owners and asset management software providers.
We are co-located in Zurich, Switzerland and in Cleveland, Ohio, U.S.A., in convenient reach of our target markets in Europe and North America. We are being promoted by the Swiss government’s CTI program, and collaborate with leading international research institutions, including Stanford University and the Swiss Federal Institutes of Technology in Zurich and Lausanne.
Cassantec is a strategic cooperation partner of Insight Services in Cleveland, Ohio, U.S.A.
Welcome to Cassantec!
The field of Predictive Maintenance (PdM) is providing a strong and growing set of tools, techniques and technologies to optimize operations, maintenance and renewal processes of industrial assets. Condition monitoring techniques, such as thermal, vibration and lubricant analysis, yield valuable insight into the state of health of industrial equipment, providing clues and hints on expected future performance profiles and related risks of malfunctions.
Yet, despite their diagnostic strength, condition monitoring techniques on the market have no explicit prognostic capabilities, leaving a vast majority of equipment operators with established preventive rather than modern predictive maintenance processes.
Cassantec is taking the clues and hints on equipment health from condition monitoring several steps further. Through a leading-edge predictive computational model based on a novel blend of best-practice techniques from Operations Research, Artificial Intelligence and Data Mining, we provide unique prognostic capabilities for select equipment operators. In particular, we offer next-generation Reliability Reports for critical industrial equipment on a subscription basis to equipment operators in the power, chemicals, steel and mining industries. So far, we focus on fast rotating equipment such as turbines, pumps, hydraulics, industrial engines and gearboxes. We anticipate a swift expansion to further types of equipment and to further industries.
Tangible benefits for maintenance budget providers include a reduction of preventive and reactive maintenance costs. Benefits for reliability managers include aggregated, refined diagnostic insights and prognostic foresights over different time horizons, as well as optimal outage decision support. Benefits for in-house condition experts include the exchange of experience on condition parameters, shared ownership of alarm decisions, and contributions to next-generation standards.
Based on a concise, validated and standardized format, our Reliability Report aggregates information from the equipment component level to the system level, and consolidates insights from thermal, vibration, lubricant and other condition data sources. Condition diagnostics and malfunction prognostics are displayed in a single report, allowing optimization of outage schedules, and providing condensed and condition-based input for asset management.
